How to add a purchase product

Adding a product to your shop

  1. Go to left-navigation and press the Products section.
  2. Add a name, and optionally a description
  3. Is product active?: This defines whether the product appears on your shop pages. Disabling this allows you to define a product in draft form, before you 'publish' it.
  4. Is product available to group members?: Enabling this allows group members to purchase this product. Disabling it means it won't appear on the shop page for group members.
  5. Is product available to the general public?: If the shop has been enabled for the public in the shop settings, this options will allow you to define whether this product will appear on the shop page for public visitors to your shop.
  6. Tags: Add tags to your product so customers can filter on product type, e.g. hoodies, t-shirts etc.
  7. Fulfilment: Define whether you will allow group members/the public to collect in person, and/or whether you will ship the item in the post.
  8. Package dimensions: If you will ship the item, you must add package dimensions and weight, so that shipping can be calculated correctly at the time of customer checkout.
  9. Images: you can add one or more images to the product, that will appear on the shop page for that product.
  10. Sizing info: you can also add an image with a sizing info chart, which if defined, will appear on the shop page for that product.
  11. Variants: You can add one or more prices for a product - this may be different prices for different options, or it may be multiple instances of the same price, but with a different variant name. For example, you might have 3 variants of the same price, but with a description of Small, medium and large for different size options of a t-shirt. You must have at least one active price.
  12. Press the 'save product and prices' button
