Sharing Events and Collecting Responses
Once you have created an event, you can share it with your members and track who is able to attend. Gighammer makes it easy to see responses and role-based attendance at a glance.
How to share an event
- On the event page, press the 'share' button along the top-right of the page.
- This will open a window that allows you to edit the email body text before you send it.
- Press 'send email' - this will send the email to all members of the group.
How members respond
Members can mark their response as:
- Yes – they plan to attend.
- No – they cannot attend.
- If you enabled the lift-sharing option for the event, members can also indicate whether they are driving or need a lift, and if driving then the details of their vehicle.
- If you enabled the guest-list for the event, members can add details (name and age) of each guest.
Viewing attendance and role statistics
As responses come in, Gighammer automatically updates attendance statistics. You can see:
- Total number of members attending.
- Attendance broken down by role (for example, SATB, positions, or sections).
- Gaps in key roles or sections.
- Driving availability if enabled.
This helps you quickly decide whether an event is viable and where you may need to encourage more responses.
